Here is a magnificent ruby glass carafe, blown and hand-painted around 1900, depicting a young boy trying to catch a small bird. Two beautiful trees are masterfully painted on each side.
This is a typical glass piece, painted by the famous American artist Mary Gregory (1856-1908), renowned for her magnificent decorations. She worked for the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
