Ce motif folklorique et mythologique montre un visage d'homme ou de créature hybride fusionnant directement avec la nature : Le front est prolongé par une feuille stylisée nervurée, tandis que la partie inférieure forme une large feuille d'acanthe ou de chêne qui semble naître sous le menton ou jaillir de la créature.
