Thomas Sergeant creates works inspired by the rediscovery of the works of the 16th century potter, Bernard Palissy (1510-CA 1589).
A career soldier, he set up his workshop in 1876 in Paris near Montrouge. He is also influenced by his stepfather, Barbizet. Sergeant exhibits his works to universal exhibitions.
